Two Hopton Wood stone tablets with alabaster frames and bronze regimental badges surmounted by a cross within a bronze wreath; WW1 tablet above smaller WW2 one. Union Flag and British Legion Standard on either side in bronze brackets on wall. WW1 plaque unveiled and dedicated Thursday 2 June 1921 by Revd F Walford (Rector). The Duke of Rutland had agreed to unveil it but was ill and the Bishop of Leicester, who was to dedicate it, was delayed south of Grantham and therefore only arrived in time to deliver his address. Faculty for erection (DE 829/51) granted 1920 costing 2 pounds 2s 0d; memorial cost 151 pounds 2s 6d. WW2 tablet unveiled 1950.
