Large squared Portland Whitbed stone column with St George carved on top front face. WW1 slate plaques on front and rear face, WW2 slate plaque on side. Whole sits on two tiered base. Situated within a memorial garden with gates. Unveiled Sunday 24th July 1921 by Lieut Col WSN Toller DSO. Originally to be placed at the Spinney at the entrance to the park with appropriate entrance gates, piers and elevation of landscaping but this was too expensive. Cost 580 pounds.
