Portland stone St John's Cross on shaft with square block half way down, on three tiered base. Unveiled Wednesday 7 April 1920 by Captain Reckitt, MCW Star

View Further Details Memorial Type:Cross Ref: WMP0496 Other Designation: Conservation Area Notes: This is an unusual example of the cross type of war memorial, in Portland stone, standing in proximity with the Grade II*-listed parish church and other structures listed at Grade II. It commemorates those local servicemen who died in the First World War. Unusually, it has not been adapted for Second World War commemoration, and thus retains its original design intent.
