Limestone cross on tapering shaft placed on square pedestal, surmounting octagonal plinth on two tiered base. One face bears motto with sundial below. Font has changed since 1980's. Unveiled before the end of the war, on Wednesday 3 April 1918, presided over by the Bishop of Leicester, Dr Norman MacLeod Lang. 4 names recently added to WW1 list, following research carried out by Denis Kenyon. Memorial erected by Mrs Effie Elizabeth Bewicke as a memorial to her nephew, Calverley George Bewicke.
