Slate tablet bearing squadron badge at head, with gilt lettering and limestone hood moulding above tablet. It commemorates the crew of a Lancaster LE-Z ND 949, which crashed near Foxton before dawn on 9 April 1945 (see weblinks for eyewitness account). Plaque unveiled 9th April 2002.
