Brass plaque also with brass Lincolnshire Regimental badge in nowy head, on black-grey marble backboard, commemorating Herbert Edward Dawson. The Dawson family owned Launde at this time. Launde Abbey is currently (2015) a retreat house. The brass plaque has sunken, painted lettering, largely in black but with red capitals and red numbers. Also a small gap at the end of the inscription is filled with red painted floral scrollwork completing the line of text.
