Son of Joseph and Anna Maria Banks, of Bradford-on-Avon, Wilts; husband of Adelaide M. Banks, of 7, Hillside Terrace, Alltwen, Pontardawe, Glam.
Served with the 2nd Battalion the Wiltshire Regiment and died of wounds in the Leicester Royal Infirmary aged 38 on the 27/07/1915.

He is commemorated on the screen wall of Welford Road, Cemetery.
