Norman completed 36 Operational sorties over enemy territory with No 207 Sqn and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He had amassed a total of 506 Flying hours of which 68 were on Wellingtons. Norman was married and left behind his wife Mary. Norman is buried in the Old Colwyn Bay Church Cemetery.
