Henry was the son of Joseph and Mary Soady and the husband of Margaret O. Soady, of Lubenham.
He was part of the crew of the anti-submarine trawler, Lady Shirley, which sunk off the Gibraltar coast after being torpedoed by U-374. All 33 crew members were lost with their ship.
