William Holman, head of the family, married 10 years and a Wood Worker, born 1882 in Little Bowden, Northants., and his wife Nellie, born 1882 in Market Harborough, Leics. Also Tommy Holman, son, born 1908 in Kettering, Northants, Samuel Coleman, boarder, married and a Corset Presser, born 1875 in Market Harborough, Leics. and Gladys May Coleman, boarder and a Schoolgirl, born 1900 in Leicester. The War Diary entry for the 11th April 1917 records. SOUCHEZ. A bright cold day with heavy snow at night. Major MILLARD was hit in the head about 10.00am by a whizzbang in HEADQUARTER TRENCH. 2nd LEINSTER REGT took over left front line and we withdrew “B” and “C” Companies to ABLAIN LANE, “A” Company in right front and “D” Company in right support.
