He was the son of Henry and Eliza Dunkley of Market Harborough, Leics. The 1911 census records, Henry Dunkley, married 28 years and head of the family, a Jobbing Gardener, born 1860 in Harleston, Northants., and his wife Eliza, born 1854 in Pitsford, Northants. The children were Frederick William, a Tanners Labourer, born 1889, Frank Rigby, a Corset Factory Clerk, born 1892, Emily Jane, a Corset Machinist, born 1894 and Arthur James, a Corset Factory Clerk, born 1897, all the children were born in Little Bowden, Northants. The family were residing at 36, Highfield Street, Great Bowden, Leics.
