The 1901 census records, Albert Cross, married and head of the family, an Under Gamekeeper, born 1865 in Chevington, Suffolk, and his wife Emma, born 1866 in Chevington, Suffolk. The children were Albert, a Schoolboy, born 1889 in Chevington, Suffolk, David, a Schoolboy, born 1890, Lily, a Schoolgirl, born 1892, Arthur, a Schoolboy, born 1894, Maggie a Schoolgirl, born 1896. the latter four were all born in Ickworth, Suffolk, and Eva, born 1900 in Little Saxham, Suffolk. The family were residing at Heath End, Little Saxham, Suffolk. The 1911 census records, Albert Cross, married 24 years, born 1864, and a Gamekeeper, and his wife Emma, the children were David William, an Out of Work Gamekeeper, Arthur James, a Gamekeeper, Maggie, At Home, Eva Maud, a Schoolgirl and Virginia M., a Schoolgirl, born 1903 in Saxham, Suffolk. The family were residing at Sibbertoft Lodge, Market Harborough, Leics.
