He was the son of Harriet Elizabeth, and the late William Charles Banks. The 1911 census records, William Charles Banks, married 23 years and head of the family, General Labourer, born 1856 in Burwash, Sussex, and his wife Harriett Elizabeth, born 1868 in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The children were Lizzie, a Rubber Hand, born 1893, William Ernest, a Tan Hand, born 1895, Albert, a Schoolboy, born 1899, Frank, a Schoolboy, born 1905, George, born 1907 and Charles Henry, born 1911, all the children were born in Market Haborough, Leicestershire. Additional family members were Ann Tallett, widow and sister in law, a Laundry Hand, born 1872, Elizabeth Ellen Holford, niece, a Corset Hand, born 1891 and Ernest Frank Dallett, nephew, a Schoolboy, born 1907, the latter three were also all born in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The family were residing at 9, Quakers Yard, Market Harborough, Leics.
