He was the son of Thomas and Drusilla Thompson. The War Diary for today records. At 11.00am received orders from the Bde that we would relieve the 5th Battn LINCOLNSHIRE REGT in Bde support at CITE ST PIERRE. Whence we moved from billets at 8.40pm and took over from that Regiment completing the relief at 10.45pm. Fairly quiet night. Battn in cellars at -?-place.
