Henry Jones, son of John and Annie Jones of Talbot Lane, Whitwick. Henry Jones of the 1st battl. Seaforth Highlanders died on 22 May 1945 in India aged 23. His brother John had died in 1943 and his half brother Diamond Freeman in 1942. They are also commemorated on the Coalville memorial. Their mother Annie Freeman lost 3 of her 4 sons in WW2 and 2 of her brothers in WW1

Diamond Freeman is my late father's (Aubrey Jones) half brother. Diamond's mother was Annie Jones née Freeman of Thringstone and Whitwick, Leicestershire. Diamond's other half brothers were Henry and John Jones who served in the army in WW2. They were also killed during the war. They are buried in North Africa and India.
