Diamond Freeman is my late father's (Aubrey Jones) half brother. Diamond's mother was Annie Jones née Freeman of Thringstone and Whitwick, Leicestershire. Diamond's other half brothers were Henry and John Jones who served in the army in WW2. They were also killed during the war. They are buried in North Africa and India. Annie served in France during WW1 along with her two brothers who are both buried in Northern France. So for Annie a tragic time losing not only her two brothers but three of her four sons.
