He was the son of Tom Bradbury a road contractor, born 1862 in Sutton Cheney, Leics., and his wife Emma, born 1865 in Orton on the Hill, Leics. Walter William was born in 1896 in Market Bosworth, Leics., his siblings were, George H., born 1887 in Shenton, Leics., Jessie, born 1888 in Orton on the Hill, Leics., Sydney, born 1891, Thomas, born 1893 and Richard William, born 1898, the latter three siblings were all born in Market Bosworth, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at 32, Stockwell Head, Hinckley, Leics. In April 1911 Walter was employed as factory worker and was residing in the family home at 84, Bond Street, Hinckley, Leics., together with his father, and mother, now a laundress, and his siblings Sydney, Thomas, Richard, Julia Emma, born 1902, Maurice Charles, born 1904 and Arthur, born 1906, the latter three siblings were all born in Hinckley, Leics.
