He was the son of Thomas and Mary Adcock of Brick Hill Cottage, Fen Lanes, Upton, Nuneaton, Warwks. In 1911 the family home was at Town Gardens, Stoke Golding, Leicestershire, present were his father Thomas who was a Farm Labourer and was born in in 1863 in Stoke Golding, Leicestershire and his wife Mary who was born in 1864 in Stoke Golding, Leicestershire. Harry was a Schoolboy and was born in 1899 in Stoke Golding, Leicestershire, at home there were four brothers and a sister, Walter S. a Shoe Clicker, born 1894, Samuel F. a Heel Tipper, born 1898, Charles W. a Schoolboy, born 1904, Arthur a Schoolboy, born 1907 and Florence A. a Hosiery Machinist, born 1896, all his siblings were born in Stoke Golding, Leicestershire. His brothers Walter S. and Percy also fell.
