He was the son of Fred Veasey, a railway engine cleaner, born 1876 in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire and his wife Ada Veasey (nee Riddington, married in the 3rd quarter of 1896 in the Blaby, Leicestershire district), born 1877 in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire. Frank was born in the 1st quarter of 1897 in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire, his siblings were, Florrie, born in the 3rd quarter of 1898 and Harry, born in the 3rd quarter of 1899, both his siblings were born in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire, in March 1901 the family home was at 8, Twenty Row, Wigston Magna, Leicestershire. In April 1911 Frank was employed as a rubber trade worker and was residing in the family home at 7, Station Street, South Wigston, Leicestershire, together with his father, a railway engine stoker, his mother and siblings, Florrie, a schoolgirl, Harry, a schoolboy, Albert, a schoolboy, born 1902, Maggie, a schoolgirl, born 1904, Edna, a schoolgirl, born 1907 and Beatrice, born 1909, the latter four siblings were all born in Wigston, Leicestershire. His younger brother Harry was killed in action.
