He was the son of Absalom Condon a framework knitter, born 1839 in Sileby, Leics., and his wife Harriet a shoe fitter, born 1846 in Loughborough, Leics. Francis Frederick was born in 1880 in Sileby, Leics., his siblings were, Annie J., born 1876 and Ernest E., born 1878, both his siblings were born in Leicester, in April 1881 the family home was at 6, Poplar Avenue, Leicester St. Mary. In April 1891 Francis was a scholar and was residing in the family home at Cossington Road, Sileby, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Annie, Ernest and Edith, born 1883 in Leicester. In March 1901 Francis was employed as a painter and was residing in the family home at Cossington Road, Sileby, Leics., together with his father, now a gardener, his mother and siblings, Annie, Ernest and Edith. In April 1911 Francis was employed as a market gardener and was residing in the family home at Cossington Road, Sileby, Leics., together with his wife of four years, Mabel, born 1885 in Willoughby on the Wolds, Notts.
