He was the son of the Reverend Richard Henry Fuller and his wife Helena Sabrina, who was the daughter of the late John Severn Walker. John was educated at Glengorse, Eastbourne, Cheltenham College, and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. He was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant Royal Field Artillery on the 27th October 1915, promoted Lieutenant on the 16th July 1917, and acting Captain on the 22nd August 1918. He served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from November 1915 and was wounded during the operations on the Somme on the 11th September 1916 and invalided home. On recovery he was attached to the 336th Brigade, and proceeded to Mesopotamia in October 1917. He volunteered for special service in Siberia in January 1919, and died in Hong Kong on the 15th March 1919 of meningitis contracted while on his way to Vladivostock. He was buried in the Happy Valley Cemetery, Hong Kong. He had just been recommended for his Captaincy when he volunteered for Siberia John was unmarried. Other sources show his place of residence as Emmanuel Rectory, Loughborough, Leicestershire. He was Mentioned in Despatches.
