He was the son of Arthur Bradshaw a watch and clock repairer, born 1870 in Loughborough, Leics., and his wife Edith Emily Bradshaw (nee Loach, married in the 3rd quarter of 1897 in the Loughborough, Leics. district), born 1872 in Thorpe Acre, Loughborough, Leics. George Henry was born on the 22nd May 1901 in Loughborough, Leics., he had one sibling, a sister Florence Ethel, born 1906 in Loughborough, Leics., In April 1911 the family home was at 120, Ashby Road, Loughborough, Leics. Arthur enlisted into the Royal Air Force on the 23rd September 1918 for the duration of the war, and was allocated the service number 297969. His medical examination recorded that he was 5 foot and ¾ inches in height and he had a chest measurement of 29½ inches, his complexion was described as fresh and his hair colour was dark brown, his eyes were dark brown, he gave his date and place of birth as the 22nd May 1901 in Loughborough, Leics., and his trade or calling as fitter, he gave his religion as Church of England. He gave his mother Edith Emily Bradshaw, of 120, Ashby Road, Loughborough, Leics., as his next of kin. His record of service began when he joined the Recruit Depot as a Private II on the 23/9/18 – 28/10/18, when he died in the Camp Isolation Hospital.
