ContributeSource: Leicestershire War Memorials Project. Owen was the son of Bernard and Annie (McElroy) Meenan- he had two brothers, Patrick and John.; he was the husband of Frances Olive Meenan, of Droylsden, Lancashire.
Bernard was born at Fardross Mt. Clogher, Tyrone. In 1939 he married Frances Olive Dawson at Melton Mowbray.at Melton, Mowbray. Together they had one son, Bernard Owen Meenan, born in 1941 in Melton Mowbray.
