'Official news has been received by Mrs G. Plant of 11 Hearth Street Market Harborough that her youngest son, Corp. L F. Plant, physical training instructor, has been reported missing in North Africa, aged 26, he joined up in February 1940 and was employed at R and WH Symington's. He was a well-known member of their football team.
Corporal Gerald Robinson and Pte Albert Richardson are also missing'.
