The deaths of Private Kenneth Walter and Gunner Ronald Sheppard were reported in the Market Harborough Advertiser on the 12th March 1943 (see photograph):
' Gunner Ronald Walter Follett Sheppard, second son of Mr and Mrs WS Sheppard of Coventry Road, Market Harborough, was killed in action in North Africa in January. Gunner Sheppard, who was formerly in the office of the Market Harborough Gas Works and was a prominent member of St. Hugh's Church, was married three years ago to Miss Doris Gilbert.'
