Source: Leicestershire War Memorials Project. The death of Private W J Satchell was reported in the Market Harborough Advertiser, on the 20th October 1944:
'News has come to hand of the death in action in Italy in September of Pte. W. J. Satchell, son of Mr and Mrs W. J. Satchell, of 53 Caxton Street, Market Harborough. His Commanding Officer has sent a letter to the parents expressing his sympathy. Pte Satchell was 20 years of age.
