Source: Leicestershire War Memorials Project. The death of Cpl George Eary was reported in the Market Harborough Advertiser on the 24th November 1944- the report included a photograph which is reproduced above:
'Market Harborough Man Killed in Action'
'Cpl. G. Eary, RASC, late 7th Hussars, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Eary, 1 Logan Street, Market Harborough, is reported killed in action in November. He was 28 years of age'.
