Richard was a Hosiery Packer and was born in 1895 in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, his siblings were Florence, born 1882 in Leicester, Frank, born 1898 and Ernest born 1900, the latter two siblings were both born in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, in 1911 the family home was at Market Street, Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
