He was the son of Harry Bromley a framework knitter, born 1857 in Kibworth, Leics., and his wife Emily a seamer, born 1857 in Kibworth, Leics. Percival Arthur was born in 1887 in Kibworth, Leics., he had one sibling, a sister Maud Louise, born 1890 in Kibworth, Leics., in April 1891 the family home was at Weir Lane, Stonton Wyville, Leics. In March 1901 Percival was employed as an errand boy and was residing in the family home at High Street, Kibworth, Leics., together with his father, now a glove maker, his mother and siblings, Louise, Florence Mabel Winifred, born 1893 and Cecil Walter, born 1897, the latter two siblings were both born in Kibworth, Leics. In April 1911 Percival was employed as a hosiery machinist and was residing in the family home at High Street, Kibworth, Leics., together with his mother and siblings, Louise, Winifred and Cecil. His younger brother Cecil Walter fell in action.
