He was the son of George Henry Frisby of Derby Road, Kegworth, Leics. His enlistment documements record that he gave his father Mr George Henry Frisby of Kegworth, Leics., England as his next of kin, and his trade or calling as Decorator, he stated he was unmarried. Information taken from his medical examination shows that he was 5 foot 6 inches in height with a chest measurement of 32 to 35 ½ inches. His complexion was described as fair with blue eyes and light hair. He gave his religion as Baptist.
