Ibstock Airman

Flies From France for Wedding

The wedding took place at Ibstock Parish Church on Monday afternoon of Sergt. Pilot H. E. Black, son of Mr and Mrs H. E. Black, of Leicester Road, Ibstock, and Miss G. A. Cuthbert, of Melbourne Road, Ibstock.

The bridegroom had just landed in England by air from France, where he had been on active service for some time with the advanced squadron.

Before joining up Mr Black was an assistant to the inspector of weights and measures of the Leicestershire County Council, and also a well-known hockey player. His bride is a teacher at Caldecote Road School, Leicester.
