He was the son of Mrs Moore. The War Diary records the following:- At about 12.30am January 22nd aeroplane returned again flew over towards Poperinghe and returned about 12.50am. Lt. D. V. Webb awarded Military Cross for his gallantry on Dec 19th and 20th 1915. Ribbon was presented by Army Commander (G.O.C. 2nd Army). Bn. HQ. shelled by heavy howitzer again. No damage. Relieved by 9th Bn. Norfolk Regiment and returned to Camp A. Wood A.30.
