He was the son of Solomon Flude. The War Diary entry for the 17th October 1916 records. WATERLOT FARM. Received 6th Division Operational Order 103 ordering renewal of the attack on the 18th October. Battalion continued work on roads and as stretcher bearers. 1 man killed, 3 men wounded. 1 Sergeant admitted to the Field Ambulance from shell shock. Lt. Col. C. TURNER returned from special leave. At 11.00pm Received 6th Division Operational Order 104.
