He was the son of Isaac Buswell a music teacher, born 1857 in Hinckley, Leics., and his wife Amanda, born 1860 in Hinckley, Leics. Arthur Thomas was born in 1890 in Hinckley, Leics., his siblings were, Ethel May, born 1886 and Edmond John, born 1887, both his siblings were born in Hinckley, Leics., in April 1891 the family home was at 37, Derby Road, Hinckley, Leics. In March 1901 Arthur was residing in the family home at 4, Derby Road, Hinckley, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Ethel and Edmond. In April 1911 Arthur was employed as a clerk and was residing as a visitor at 38, Mount Road, Hinckley, Leics. In the July, August, September quarter of 1915, Arthur married Mabel Clara Shuttlewood in the Hinckley, Leicestershire marriage registration district. Arthur’s parent later resided at 55, Mount Road, Hinckley, Leics.
