He was the son of Charles Blower a hosiery foreman, born 1845 in Hinckley, Leics., and his wife Eliza, born 1845 in Hinckley, Leics. Fred was born in 1881 in Hinckley, Leics., his siblings were Sarah A., born 1869, Charles, born 1871, Albert, born 1873, Ada, born 1876 and Arthur, born 1878, all his siblings were born in Hinckley, Leics., in April 1891 the family home was at 26, Manor Street, Hinckley, Leics., in the Ecclesiastical Parish of Holy Trinity. In March 1901 Fred was employed as a hosiery warehouseman and was residing in the family home at 23, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Sarah, Albert, Ada and Arthur. In April 1911 Fred was employed as a hosiery warehouseman and was residing in the family home at 26, Manor Street, Hinckley, Leics., together with his parents and sister Ada. In the quarter April, May and June 1916 Fred married Ethel A. Randle in the Hinckley, Leics. Registration District.
