He was the son of Frances, and the late Thomas Bosworth Adcock of Blackfordby, Leicestershire and the husband of Jane Adcock of Lindley, Nuneaton, Warwks. In 1911 the family home was at Higham, Leicestershire, present were George a Market Gardener who was born in 1870 in Blackfordby, Leicestershire and his wife Jane, who was born in 1871 in Liverpool, Lancashire. At home were their children, Anthony a Schoolboy, born 1899 in Naawopoort, Cape Colony, Frank a Schoolboy, born 1902 in Naawopoort, Cape Colony, Frances a Schoolgirl, born 1904 in Naawopoort, Cape Colony, Margaret, born 1907 in Higham on the Hill, Leicestershire and May, born 1908 in Higham on the Hill, Leicestershire.
