He was the son of John Binder a Coachman and Gardener, born 1856 in Stanion, Northants., and his wife Edith, born 1868 in Kilsby, Northants. Harry was born in 1896 in Great Bowden, Leics., his siblings were George William, born 1894 in Bugbrooke, Northants., Emily, born 1898 and Harold, born 1901, the latter two siblings were both born in Great Bowden, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at 22, Knights End Road, Great Bowden, Leics., in the Ecclesiastical Parish of Great Bowden, St. Peter. In April 1911 Harry was employed as a Baker’s Assistant and was residing in the family home at 22, Knights End Road, Great Bowden, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, George, Emily and Edith, born 1905 in Great Bowden, Leics. The 1911 census records, John Binder, married 19 years and head of the family, Groom and Gardener, born 1860 in Stanion, Northamptonshire, and his wife Edith, born 1868 in Kilsby, Northamptonshire. The children were George William, a Groom, born 1894 in Bugbrooke, Northamptonshire, Harry, a Bakers Assistant, born 1896, Emily, a Domestic Servant, born 1897 and Edith, born 1905, the latter three children were all born in Great Bowden, Leicestershire. The family were residing at 22, Knights End Road, Great Bowden, Leics. The 1901 census records, John Binder, born 1856, and his wife Edith, the children were, George W., Harry, Emily, born 1898 and Harold, born 1901 in Great Bowden, Leics.
