He was the son of William Burditt an agricultural labourer, born 1836 in Sutton Bassett, Northants., and his wife Mary, born 1842 in Leicester. Frank was born in 1883 in Sutton Bassett, Northants., his siblings were James, born 1865 and William, born 1879, both his siblings were born in Sutton Bassett, Northants., in April 1891 the family home was at Harborough Road, Weston by Welland, Sutton Bassett, Northants. In March 1901 Frank was employed as a farm yardman and was residing in the family home at Sutton Bassett, Northants., together with his father, now a farm cattleman, and his mother. In April 1911 Frank was employed as a wood sawyer’s labourer and was residing in the family home at Sutton Bassett, Northants., together with his father, now a shepherd and old age pensioner, his mother and sister Clara Ann, born 1866 in Sutton Bassett, Northants. In the July, August, September quarter of 1912, Frank married Jane Plowright in the Market Harborough, Leicestershire marriage registration district.
