He was the son of John Fradsham, a griswold stocking knitter, born in the 4th quarter of 1844 in Enderby, Leicestershire and his wife Catherine Fradsham (nee Spence, married in the 2nd quarter of 1864 in the Blaby, Leicestershire district), born 1848 in Enderby. Horace Clarence was born in the 4th quarter of 1890 in Enderby, his siblings were, Catherine, a griswold knitter, born 1874, John, a shoe trade worker, born 14th October 1875 in Coalville, Leicestershire, Thomas Zadok, a schoolboy, born 1881 in Leicester, Charles Edward, a schoolboy, born 1st January 1884 and George Arnold, born 4th January 1889, the latter two siblings were both born in Whetstone, Leicestershire, in April 1891 the family home was at Brook Side, Whetstone. In March 1901 Horace was residing in the family home at Moores Lane, Enderby, together with his father, a Navvy, his mother and siblings, John, a shoe maker, Thomas, a shoe maker, Charles, a shoe maker and George, also residing in the family home was Horace’s nephew Zadock Fradsham, born 1897 in Enderby and his widowed maternal Grandmother, Sarah Ann Spence (ne Matts), born 1823 in Aylestone, Leicestershire. In April 1911 Horace was employed as a shoe trade worker and was residing in the family home in Moores Lane, Enderby, together with his father a greengrocer, his mother and sibling, George, a shoe trade finisher, also residing in the family home was Horace’s nephew’s John Hubbard, a shoe trade finisher, born 1894 in Leicester and Zadock Fradsham, a shoe trade finisher. Horace married Mary Warren in the 2nd quarter of 1914 in the Blaby, Leicestershire district. Horace also had the following older siblings, Mary, born 1865, Elizabeth, born 1867, Frances, born 11th September 1868, Sarah Ann, born 1870 and Selina, born 1880 the latter five siblings were all born in Coalville. Horace died whilst a Prisoner of War, he was awarded the British War and Victory medals.
