He was the son of the Coalville East Stationmaster, his brother Thomas Robson who was the first man from Ellistown to enlist, survived the war, having served in the 1st/5th Battalion of the Leicestershire Regiment. Henry was killed by shellfire, and was buried by Cliff Scott and Archie G. Tovell, Archie sadly lost his life on the 1st February 1917.
