He was the son of William Reynolds, a butcher, born 1869 in Earl Shilton, Leics., and his wife Martha Reynolds (nee Shipley, married in the 2nd quarter of 1889 in the Market Harborough, Leics. district), born 1869 in Smeeton Westerby, Leics. Hubert Harry was born on the 24th October 1899 in Earl Shilton, Leics., his siblings were, Percy, born 1890 in Stoney Stanton, Leics., John William, born 1894, Horace, born 1895 and Albert, born 1897, the latter three siblings were all born in Earl Shilton, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at 16, Hill Top, Earl Shilton, Leics. In April 1911 Hubert was residing in the family home at 14, Hill Top, Earl Shilton, Leics., together with his father, a butcher, his mother and siblings, John, a hosiery trade rib frame worker, Horace, a hosiery trade rib frame worker, Albert, a butcher’s assistant, Mary Jane, born 1904, Frank, born 1906 and Doris, born 1907, the latter three siblings were all born in Earl Shilton, Leics. Hubert died of pneumonia.
