He was the son of Abraham Breward a shoe laster, born 1856 in Earl Shilton, Leics., and his wife Mary a shoe machinist, born 1862 in Earl Shilton, Leics. Abraham was born in 1898 in Earl Shilton, Leics., his siblings were Ellen S., born 1879, George Harry, born 1880, Eliza Ann, born 1883, May, born 1886, Joe Taylor, born 1887, John Oliver, born 1889, Elsie, born 1891, Caroline, born 1892, Lydia, born 1894, Celia, born 1894, Andrew, born 1896 and Levina A., born 1901, all his siblings were born in Earl Shilton, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at 91, Wood Street, Earl Shilton, Leics. In April 1911 Abraham was a shoe pressman and was residing in the family home at Bog Society Land, Earl Shilton, Leics., together with his father, now a shoe riveter, his mother and siblings, Eliza, Tom, Joe, John, Elizabeth, Caroline, Lydia, Celia, Andrew, Levina and Percy, born 1904 in Earl Shilton, Leics. His elder brother’s George Harry and Andrew both fell in action, and Joe Taylor died of wounds received in action. The War Diary for today records. BROSSE WOODS.
