Source: Michael Doyle Their Name Liveth For Evermore: The Great War Roll of Honour for Leicestershire and Rutland. He was the son of Alfred Tilley. The War Diary for the 19th to the 22nd June 1917 records. In the line as on the 10th. Artillery and trench mortars active during the whole of this time. Relieved by the 6th Battn SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE REGT at night and proceeded to billets in BOUVIGNY BOYEFFLES.
