"I have a photograph of Joe Turner which I will upload, The original image includes my father who Joe served with in 1939 when they were both training at Edinburgh to be Cavalry Troopers. Both then served in the same Cavalry Regiment, the Nottinghamshire Yeomanry, also known as the 'Sherwood Rangers'. Both went out to Palestine in 1940 as reinforcements for the regiment. They arrived to find the Sherwood Rangers had changed from horses to coastal gunnery then later to tanks, Joe subsequenty was killed at Wadi Zem Zem on 15 January 1943 as the regiment was advancing on Tripoli."
