He was the son of John William Beadsmoore a Printers Stationer, born 1865 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire and his wife Catherine Hannah., born 1867 in Coalville, Leicestershire. Francis William was born in 1889 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, in April 1891 the family home was at 78, Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, this being situated within the Ecclesiastical Parish of St. Helen. In March 1901 Francis was residing at 11, Bath Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, this being situated within the Ecclesiastical Parish of Holy Trinity, together with his parents and sibling Doris Winifred, born 1896 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. In April 1911 Francis was employed as a Printer and was residing in the family home with his mother, now Catherine Lager and her second husband of three years, Edmund Lager a Clerk, born 1859 in Coalville, Leicestershire and also his sister Doris, the family home was at Bath Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. Francis later married and became the husband of Cecilia Ellen Beadsmoore.

LOCAL CASUALTIES

News has been received that Private Frank W. Beadsmoore, Cheshire Regiment, was killed in action in France on March 24th. He was the only son of the late Mr J. W. Beadsmoore and Mrs Beadsmoore (now Mrs Lager) and after his father’s death, managed his printing business in Ashby. He was 28.
