The War Diary for today records. In position as for the 1st, but owing to work being required to improve the new trenches taken over little firing was done. Officers patrols reconoitered the whole front of the line held by the Battn, but encountered no hostile patrols. Enemy’s snipers were active during the night, Privates WARNER and WILTON being killed. A hostile snipers post was located at 197.
