He was the son of William Bull a hairdresser, born 1863 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leics., and his wife Alice, born 1861 in Clifton, Staffs. William Henry was born in 1886 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leics., he had one sibling, a brother Arthur J., born 1889 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leics., in April 1891 the family home was at 2, Burton Road, Ashby de la Zouch, Leics. In March 1901 William was employed as an apprentice hairdresser and was residing in the family home at 42 & 44, Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Arthur, Ernest R., born 1894, Alice E., born 1897, Sidney H., born 1898 and Francis E., born 1900, all his siblings were born in Ashby de la Zouch, Leics. In April 1911 William was employed as a barber’s assistant and was residing as a boarder at South Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leics. His parents later resided at 40, Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leics. In the January, February, March quarter of 1917, William married Edith E. Monnington in the Warwick marriage registration district.

LOCAL CASUALTIES

Mr William Bull, of Market Street, Ashby, has learned officially that his eldest son, Lance-Corporal W. H. Bull, Somerset Light Infantry, has died of wounds received in action in France. Deceased had resided at Leamington and leaves a widow and one child. He was a hairdresser.
